Compliance is an easy subject to put at the back of your ‘to do’ queue, but the consequences of failure can be very serious, jeopardising the safety of staff and the reputation and finances of your business.
Compliance is a critical part of any cleaning contract, so it was a logical extension for TemcoUK to widen its scope for clients and offer Compliance Audits that took in a broad range disciplines, from Health and Safety to Lease Conditions.
“We have been performing this service for clients for some time,” Says Andrew Philpot, TemcoUK’s managing director. “Even the largest client can allow compliance to lapse so many find it reassuring to have an expert independent eye on the job.”
Now the service is being taken up by non clients, pleased with the opportunity to ensure that they are up to date with compliance with current legislation, scheduling relevant work like PAT testing as necessary for annual checks.
TemcoUK Technical Services, as the service provider is known, use cloud based software to review statutory compliance to establish that the required documentation is in place to comply with UK Legislation, compiling a detailed report with digital images for clear communication. This includes recommendations where compliance is breached and access to a wide range of specialist contractors if further action is required, TemcoUK Technical Solutions managing work on the client’s behalf when requested.
“There is a lot of interest in Compliance Audits from smaller and medium sized enterprises,” Adds Andrew. “This is not so surprising perhaps as companies of that size understandably run leaner and can overlook compliance. That said, we have carried out several with larger companies with incumbent cleaning contractors, often uncovering some surprising results!”
